About Us
Welcome to Pomona Catholic School!
Whether you are a prospective student or family, an alumni or alumni family who is a part of our esteemed community or someone who wants to simply learn about us - we are excited to have you visit our site.
Pomona Catholic School was founded in 1898 and together we continue the legacy that has been handed down to us by the pioneers of Catholic education in the Pomona area. Our co-ed middle school and all-girls high school offers a unique experience for every student. From our small class sizes and Spanish Learning Lab in the middle school, to our college preparatory curriculum and AP Capstone Program in our high school - the PC experience has opportunities for all.
I am a proud alumna of Pomona Catholic, the Believers Class of 1992! I have had the privilege of walking the hallways with some incredible women. Over the past 18 years, I have added on the role of staff and administration - School Counselor, Vice Principal and now Principal - witnessing young men and women grow into fascinating, curious and dynamic contributors to our community.
Pomona Catholic is a place where students can be challenged academically, grow in their faith, develop their own unique talents and cultivate a commitment to serving others. I am a true believer in how impactful the Pomona Catholic experience is. We understand the privilege of educating our students and strive to remain student-centered. We help develop future leaders, judges, police officers, physicians, researchers, college professors, professional athletes, business men and women and so much more!
We are Pomona Catholic and incredibly grateful to all who are a part of our cherished community.
Blessings,
Principal Rebecca Cook Arteaga ‘92

Philosophy
Pomona Catholic School, a culturally diverse, Los Angeles Archdiocesan all girls’ high school and coed middle school, fosters the development of the whole person, stressing academic excellence, personal integrity, and sensitivity to others in their spiritual journeys.
Pomona Catholic works with families throughout their children’s adolescence, offering a comprehensive curriculum which serves a range of ability levels. Strong co-curricular and athletic programs enhance the social and physical development of each student, building confidence and leadership.
Synthesizing our values with 21st century technologies, we help middle school students transition to the rigors of high school work and educate high school women to be both proficient and Christ-centered, prepared for any future educational situation, demonstrating compassion, creativity, and the courage to act on their beliefs.
Values
Pomona Catholic stresses the total development of each child spiritually, morally, intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically. Pomona Catholic recognizes families as the primary educators and seeks to work with them in partnership throughout their children’s school years. We are committed to working with families to afford a Pomona Catholic education regardless of their socio-economic background.
