Ms Pamela Stith, a forty-two year veteran of PC, has a Bachelor’s degree in English from California State University, Fullerton, with a minor in Speech and Theatre. She earned her Master’s degree from University of California, Los Angeles in English with an emphasis in 16th and 17th literature. On her thirtieth year at PC, the auditorium was named for her. She holds membership in CATE (California Association of Teachers of English) and has presented multiple times at their yearly convention.
Her teaching philosophy is simple: “If I accept mediocrity, I encourage mediocrity; if I expect excellence, sooner or later, I get it.”
Her hobbies are Shakespeare - spending one evening a month with the “Shakespeare Readers” - a group of enthusiasts who meet to explore the Bard’s works, rooting for her Angels, and acting. She played Ouiser in Steel Magnolias 2009 and Nat in Rabbit Hole in 2012 at Victoria Gardens’ Lewis Family Playhouse. She has also taught a course there – “Acting Shakespeare for Adults.”
