Thank you for visiting our website to learn more about our school. We at Pomona Catholic, stand on the shoulders of those who have preserved our Catholic tradition in this community, and more importantly Catholic education for God’s children. Our history begins in 1898 with the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, the Felician Sisters; who continue to serve continuously since 1948, followed by St Joseph’s Parish, and since 1952, Pomona Catholic. I am very proud to lead this community in honoring and celebrating our history. Our responsibility includes respectfully protecting its longevity through programs designed to increase and maintain access for all. Praise be to God, our almighty Father for his work in our history, and most especially, for the opportunities presented to us through His grace, now and forever.
The spirit of Pomona Catholic School is embedded in the generosity, faith, and commitment of our families who partner with our faculty and staff to create a dynamic 21st century experience in preparing our students to become moral citizens of an ever-changing world. Each day I thank God, for the privilege of serving Him through my leadership at Pomona Catholic. I dedicate my prayers to your families and our staff, as we work together to maintain high academic values, and a community focused on high standards.
We welcome and provide access for all students desiring a Catholic education. My faculty and staff are aligned with our holistic approach and teaching ministry. It is within this paradigm, that we, prayerfully and thankfully work to address the opportunity to evangelize and support middle and high school students growing their goals for the future. Our 100% college acceptance rate puts us in a category second to none. With this fact in mind, we are assured that students receive the most efficient and effective learning experience in preparation for their futures. In essence, this is your assurance that their education at Pomona Catholic is truly preparing them for their next step.
Our women’s high school program takes into account ongoing Faith, Scholarship, Tradition, and Empowerment for life-long learning. Our co-educational middle school program remains unique and focused on, not only a strong academic curriculum but also, moral development through our single-gender math, English, and religion courses. Social development is emphasized through both levels in our sports and activities programs. Our extended learning services and resources are available for all students, with many programs designed to help students with occasional support. Our unique and diverse population presents the opportunity to employ innovative strategies, propelling us towards a greater understanding of the world and our needs as fully invested members. This year we welcome our new Chaplain, Father Steve Guitron, pastor of Saint Joseph Catholic Church Pomona. With his guidance, local churches and Pastors, we celebrate our school and share in the many gifts God has bestowed on Pomona Catholic.
Peace and Blessings,
