Pomona Catholic School is one of approximately 1,000 schools worldwide to implement AP CapstoneTM – an innovative diploma program that allows students to develop the skills that matter most for college success: research, collaboration, and communication. The program consists of two courses taken in sequence: AP® Seminar and AP Research. Developed in direct response to feedback from higher education faculty and college admission officers, AP Capstone complements the in-depth, subject-specific study of other Advanced Placement® courses and exams. College Board’s unique program prepares students for the rigor and challenge of college life through it’s 2 courses: AP Seminar and AP Research. Under the guidance of our talented faculty, students will learn to master argument-based writing skills and experience unique research opportunities. AP CapstoneTM is a College Board program that equips students with the independent research, collaborative teamwork, and communication skills that are increasingly valued by colleges. It cultivates curious, independent, and collaborative scholars and prepares them to make logical, evidence-based decisions.
Pomona Catholic will start AP Seminar in the Fall of 2017.
