A JOURNEY TO REMEMBER

Pomona Catholic is proud to launch our new advisory program for high school students beginning this week. Research shows that when students have a meaningful relationship with an adult at school, they are more likely to succeed academically and create a deeper connection with their peers and school community.

At Pomona Catholic, we aim to create stronger bonds by designing a mix of grade-level group cohorts called “Sisterhoods."  In these groups, your daughters will know the meaning of sisterhood as more than just a word that is spoken of here at school.

Students will understand that sisterhood is greater than friendship. This is because, at Pomona Catholic, we all live under the same values as well and push each other to be the best versions of ourselves. That power makes sisterhoods unbreakable.

Pomona Catholic’s Sisterhood Advisory Program is comprised of 11-12 students and one faculty advisor.   Your daughter will meet with her advisor throughout the school year to discuss personal and academic goals, be a direct connection to the school and help create an individual experience here at PC.

Attendance and participation are required. Students will remain in their advisories for the school year.  As we begin to implement the program, parents will be able to reach out to faculty advisors for any questions or concerns regarding their daughter’s needs.

Thank you for your partnership and support as we continue to create new ways of elevating the PC experience. I would like to thank the core lead advisors for helping develop the program and mentor student leaders in assisting the design:  Miss Jones '09, Mr. Tomkins, Mrs. Haskins, Mrs. Guerrero '04 and Mrs. Gomzalez. You will be hearing and seeing many amazing things develop from this program this school year... and for years to come!

ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE WHEN YOU HAVE THE RIGHT PEOPLE THERE TO SUPPORT YOU.
